For nearly 28 years now, INEX Inc. has been supplying composite radiant tubes (CRTs) to heat treaters, burner companies, and furnace companies throughout the world.
INEX Inc. is primarily focused on producing radiant tubes for indirectly heated atmosphere controlled industrial furnaces. Radiant tubes are usually made of nickel/chrome alloys, which have unacceptably poor performance and short tube life. About half our sales are to commercial heat treaters who do contract heat treating of everything from very basic nuts and bolts to very sophisticated surface treatments of aerospace components. The balance of the users are captive shops who use silicon-silicon carbide radiant tubes for their own end products.
The radiant tubes are manufactured using a patented fabricating method, which produces the tubes directly from the raw materials in a simple two-step process. The high yielding process concludes with a tube ranging from 1" to 6" inches in diameter with a length up to approximately 96" inches long.
Originally the company's primary focus was on Single-Ended Recuperative tubes (SERs), but has since broadened its product lines to address the needs of its customers. "U"-shaped tubes (used in most heat treat furnaces in North America), Internally finned tubes, and other custom tube configurations per the customer's request are being marketed. These varying configurations offer an opportunity for many more users of an atmosphere furnace(s) to dramatically improve their operations, reduce operational costs, and save energy.
